Within the Residential and Day Services programs at Mandy’s Farm, individuals with disabilities are encouraged to cultivate their own produce through our Adaptive Gardening program, using pesticide and herbicide-free practices. This produce is then sold at local Farmer’s Markets and events in the Albuquerque community, with all of the proceeds returning directly to the individuals who grew it. We additionally sell cage-free eggs, arts and crafts, handmade soap, Goat’s Milk Lotion, and more at these events. For year-round purchases, please visit our Etsy page and place an order, here. Please visit our Events sections to see upcoming Farmer’s Market events. Please keep in mind that Famer’s Market sales are seasonal, generally taking place from May-October.
Mandy’s Farm offers adaptive horsemanship (or equine-assisted healthcare) for individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as horseback riding for children and adults of all ages with and without disabilities. By partnering with their instructor and their horse, community members of all ages and disabilities can learn skills in fine and gross motors, self-efficacy, self-confidence, and further develop their social skills and use of nonverbal cues. For more information about adaptive horsemanship or horseback riding lessons, please send us an e-mail at email@example.com.
Appaloosa Art Space, located in the Nob Hill area of Albuquerque, is a continued learning program that provides inclusive workshops based in arts and environment for adults with disabilities and other members of the Albuquerque community.
Please continue to check our Events Calendar, both on the Mandy’s Farm website, as well as Facebook, to stay informed regarding upcoming Art Workshops and Events.
