In August 2013, Local cyclists John Padoven, Joel Sachs, and David Garcia completed an amazing 1500 mile journey from Boston, MA to Key West, FL. Their goal was to raise awareness for autism by encouraging communities along the way to adopt programs serving the needs of individuals with Developmental Disabilities. At the same time, they raised money for Mandy’s Farm. Funds were combined with the grant from Albuquerque Involved to purchase a mounting ramp for the therapeutic horsemanship program.
Tom Kass of New Mexico Swing Works donated a wonderful therapy swing. Courtney was able to get out of her wheelchair and swing for the first time in over 10 years! Mandy’s now has a swing that accommodates everyone at the Farm.
