Mandy’s Special Farm was designed specifically for women with autism and/or autistic tendencies aged eighteen (18) and above. However, Mandy's Special Farm does not discriminate or choose applicants based on gender, disability, ethnicity, religious preference, or any other personal factor.
Following is a list of determining factors to be used in admitting persons to our services:
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· The individual’s interdisciplinary team must have deemed community living as the best option for the individual and clinically necessary
· Must be willing to participate and live at Mandy's Special Farm
· Without acute medical problems or acute emotional disturbance
· No history of extreme violence toward self or others
· Willing to comply with their individual plan
· Willing to comply with all house rules
Admission Restrictions:
As stated in the Requirements For Adult Residential Care Facilities 7NMAC 8.2, page 14,
section 19.2, Adult Residential care facilities shall not admit or retain individuals requiring continuous nursing care. Conditions or circumstances that usually require continuous nursing care, may include, but not be limited to the following:
· Ventilator dependency
· Pressure sores where skin loss penetrates beyond the skin, and into deeper tissue or bone, which are classified as Stage III or IV
· Intravenous therapy or injections directly into the vein
· Airborne infectious disease, in a communicable state, including tuberculosis, but excluding infections such as the common cold
· Any conditions requiring either physical or chemical restraints
· Nasogastric tubes/gastric tubes
· Tracheostomy care
· Individuals presenting an imminent physical threat or danger to self or others
· Individual’s whose physician certifies that placement is no longer appropriate
